Pinhole Leaks
Pinhole leaks begin to form in your hot water re-circulation system.
Damage to water pipes, caused by internal erosion, leads to leaks, pipe fractures and inadequate drinking water quality.
Uncontrolled hot water re-circulation and the pressure shock during an emergency repair, are the major causes for pinhole leaks.
Pinhole leaks
In less then 15 years, only 10% of the original wall thickness
is left.
When a pinhole leak is patched, it places added pressure on other areas in the pipe. Within a short period of time, new pinhole leaks will form and other patches will be needed. Continually patching pinhole leaks is not only costly, it is also disruptive to the owner and tenants, causing noise, mess and damage to the property.
